All I’m trying to say is… You Do You!
Pursue your passions; Be fearless; Believe in yourself; Dare to dream; Test your limits; Be kind; Stay humble; Find your purpose; Cherish today, and Never give up were powerful sayings that were instilled in me at an early age.
Growing up in a middle-class family has taught me to appreciate all walks of life. Having a great work ethic and being humble will carry people far in life. My parents were able to make something that may seem small into the biggest gift ever. I saw the struggles they went through as a parent and provider. Now that I have a family of my own, I want to leave a family legacy that my kids can be proud of, our very own family business. Our business won't have a singular focus, but a multipotentiality focus that embraces all of the diverse innovative ideas that we have.
I choose this method to highlight the family legacy because I want more for my kids to strive for. Yes, they can for other people, but they can also work for themselves. I want them to fulfill their goals while following their passion without any regrets. We as parents own it to ourselves to leave a family legacy that our children can create as their own while knowing the foundation that was established for them. We all have stories that tell the struggles that we are going through, but now is the time to show the world how we can prevail through the struggles.
I’m not rich regarding monetary means, but I am rich in regards to my personal experiences and educational knowledge. Today I’m challenging you to say, “I can do it” versus “Not me.” When I hear the words not me, I ask why not you?
