Everyone has talents, although they may be hidden sometimes; the true value is best seen from the successes of those we help.

Hi, I’m Christianne.

Life demands we believe in one another. We can wield transcendental changes when we strive for outcomes where everyone wins. We create value by understanding needs and crafting human-centered solutions!

Diverse Innovations and the services we provide stem from the culmination of my personal and professional experiences. After receiving a master’s degree and having my first child, I began noticing my daughter wasn’t developing in the same way as other babies. As months evolved into years, she developed behavioral issues and stopped talking. Doctors, education officials & behavioral therapists had evaluated and diagnosed with considerable certainty that my child would be mute for the rest of her life and be unable to develop beyond her current age of four.

Staring at me and unable to communicate, I looked into her eyes, I knew my daughter would require developmental and educational support far beyond what I could provide. Initially, I questioned and blamed myself for what was happening but I knew that someone was in there and I had to help her come out. I searched, clicked & questioned every lead and link I could find with little to no results to show for.

After placing her in a specialized school, I met Joshua Long, who became my daughter’s speech therapist. Joshua worked with her during the day, while I reinforced my educational curriculum at home through music. My daughter loved to hear different songs and would even dance to them. We had found a way to help her start talking again! When it came time to move my daughter to a different school and curriculum, it was Joshua Long who stood up on behalf of my daughter, recommending I place her in a magnet class, sharing with me I shouldn’t let any “expert” tell me what to do. Joshua had seen what I had seen in my daughter and believed in her. I decided to place her in the advanced classes where she thrived, proving the “experts” wrong again!

Challenging the status quo sometimes takes ambition.

Later that year I gave birth to my second child, which I named after Joshua, to show my gratitude for his solemn commitment, unresolved belief & deep understanding of how to bring my daughter’s hidden talents to life! Being a single parent of two kids was a struggle but I never gave up on them or myself. Needing to understand more about my daughter’s disability, I decided to work at a university that focused on researching it. My passion for grants, contracts, and the fiscal management process came from my life’s experiences, it laid a foundation for a “people-first” approach and mindset.

As for my daughter, she’s attending college now, has a passion for art history, dance, photography & enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Challenging the status quo sometimes takes ambition. Everyone has talents, although they may be hidden sometimes; the true value is best seen from the successes of those we help. We are not defined by the obstacles set in front of us but rather by how we choose to rise above and overcome them.
